The First Lady of Russia is at the forefront of cultural events. The day before, Svetlana Medvedeva visited an exhibition of works by Salvador Dali at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts). For visitors, the exposition opens only today, September 3.

The excursion for the President's wife was led by the managing director of the Gala - Salvador Dali Foundation, the greatest connoisseur of the work of the Spanish artist Juan Manuel Sevigliano Compolance. He told Medvedeva in detail about each of the works presented.

A full-length exposition of the famous surrealist's works is being held for the first time in Russia, it is timed to coincide with the "cross" Year of Russia-Spain. For this occasion, 25 paintings and 90 graphic sheets, including illustrations for the novel "Don Quixote", were delivered to the Russian capital.

The exhibition will be open until mid-November.

The scenography of the exhibition space, which should convey the atmosphere of the museum in Figueres, was carried out by the Moscow theater artist Boris Messerer.

The exhibition reflects the different stages of the creative path of Salvador Dali; it presents works created by the artist in his youth, as well as paintings of all the main styles of his time: impressionism, expressionism, surrealism. The exhibition is united by one character - the artist's wife Gala, who is depicted in many of the surrealist's works.

According to Medvedeva, the paintings of the famous Spaniard "excite us, forcing us to think and admire" his work. She called the opening of Dali's exhibition in the Russian capital a bright event not only in the life of Moscow, but throughout Russia.

“I am sure that many Muscovites and guests of the capital will visit the exhibition, where there is the spirit of Spain,” - quotes the first lady of RIA Novosti. At the end of the year, Svetlana Medvedeva is going to visit Spain at the invitation of King Juan Carlos I.
