Five activists of the animal rights movement (PeTA) in the most insolent way tried to disrupt the show of the Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, which was held as part of Milan Fashion Week.

Cleverly bypassing the security guards, they jumped onto the podium, waving placards with the bloody inscription "Cavalli = cruelty" ("Cavalli = cruelty"). The security staff were not up to par: they did not immediately realize that this was not part of the show, and only realized when the commotion began.

The most remarkable thing is that at this show there were no models made of fur. However, the vice-president of PeTA said in an excuse that the designer often uses this material in other collections. "We chose Cavalli as our target because he calls himself an animal lover, while his collections use the fur of almost all existing animals."

“It's sad that there are always people who get in the way of those who work, but what can I do?” Cavalli said after the screening. “I could have introduced tighter security controls, but I don’t think it will change anything. But I really love animals."
