According to Ukrainian scientists, they have taken an important step in the issue of extending human life and improving its quality. In particular, the reasons for rapid aging have been clarified - all that remains is to find a remedy against it.

According to scientists from the Max-Well Research and Production Oncological and Cardiological Center, the continuous fight against viruses and bacteria "starts" pathological processes in the body that lead to systemic damage to organs and tissues and, as a result, to a significant reduction in life expectancy.

None of the other adverse factors has such a constant and large-scale effect on the human body as the fight against bacteria.

"A person interacts with various microorganisms from early childhood to old age. As a result of the fight against foreign agents, the body wears out: it develops chronic non-infectious diseases, as well as disorders that, according to traditional ideas, are an integral part of the aging process," the president of the company says Max-Well, Professor Kenneth Alibek and Candidate of Chemical Sciences Anna Pashkova.

At the same time, Australian scientists have come to the conclusion that the elements of the immune system, which play a key role in the fight against cancer, as well as against viral and bacterial infections, belong to an ancient family of toxins, the owners of which were previously considered only pathogenic microbes. "Over millions of years of evolution, bacteria have created perforin proteins as a powerful offensive weapon, but animals have been able to convert them into a weapon of defense. It is still difficult to say who will be the winner in this" arms race "- said one of the study authors, Professor James Wisstock.
