According to Ukrainian scientists, they have taken an important step in the issue of extending human life and improving its quality. In particular, the reasons for rapid aging have been clarified - all that remains is to find a remedy against it.
According to scientists from the Max-Well Research and Production Oncological and Cardiological Center, the continuous fight against viruses and bacteria "starts" pathological processes in the body that lead to systemic damage to organs and tissues and, as a result, to a significant reduction in life expectancy.
None of the other adverse factors has such a constant and large-scale effect on the human body as the fight against bacteria.
"A person interacts with various microorganisms from early childhood to old age. As a result of the fight against foreign agents, the body wears out: it develops chronic non-infectious diseases, as well as disorders that, according to traditional ideas, are an integral part of the aging process," the president of the company says Max-Well, Professor Kenneth Alibek and Candidate of Chemical Sciences Anna Pashkova.
At the same time, Australian scientists have come to the conclusion that the elements of the immune system, which play a key role in the fight against cancer, as well as against viral and bacterial infections, belong to an ancient family of toxins, the owners of which were previously considered only pathogenic microbes. "Over millions of years of evolution, bacteria have created perforin proteins as a powerful offensive weapon, but animals have been able to convert them into a weapon of defense. It is still difficult to say who will be the winner in this" arms race "- said one of the study authors, Professor James Wisstock.

Scientists have developed a new theory of aging
The question "Is rejuvenation possible?" has been tormenting humanity for centuries. Scientists are desperately trying to invent an elixir of youth, or at least postpone the onset of old age. For the past few years, science has been dominated by the assumption that free radicals are to blame for the aging of the body, but a number of experts believe that the theory is already outdated.
Scientists have determined when aging begins
Few of us will refuse to prolong our youth. But when does the body really start aging? On this occasion, quite fierce discussions have been conducted between scientists for a long time. However, according to the latest data, the aging process begins on average in a person at 39 years of age.
Scientists have identified the cause of male infidelity
Afraid of adultery? Then try not to earn more than your husband. As discovered by American experts, the likelihood of adultery directly depends on the level of income of the spouses. Unfaithful wives usually hold higher positions and receive more than their cheated husbands.
Scientists have found the cause of women's imbalance
Why are women more emotional and expansive than men? It turns out it's all about the structure of the brain. Recently, Swedish researchers found two key differences in the processing of serotonin - the so-called happiness hormone - in the brains of men and women.
Scientists have changed the cause of Cleopatra's death
There are numerous legends about her appearance and organizational qualities. But did the Egyptian queen Cleopatra really die from a snakebite? According to German scientists, this version does not fit at all with the usual female psychology.
