February has more working days than January, with its long New Year holidays. But this month has fewer working days than other months of the calendar year. In February there is a public holiday that has survived from Soviet times and has acquired a new status of a day off. • how many days in a month, whether there are pre-holiday (shortened) days or will you have to work in full on all days designated as working days.

The longest weekend of the year is New Year's, at the beginning of the previous month, January. But they also come in different lengths (from 8 to 11 days), which depends on the distribution of holidays by days of the week. In February of this year, as in other time periods, only one day off at the national level is Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23. Sometimes its location in the week allows you to extend the rest time, but in 2022 it is not so good.

Approval

• Saturdays and Sundays - 8, hence the sum of days of rest - 9 in a calendar month.

No transfers are foreseen in 2022. All Saturdays and Sundays from the New Year holidays, according to the preliminary option, are postponed to the May holidays. This was due to the unfavorable location of the federal holiday. This year, he is right in the middle of the week - on Wednesday, and no transfers can bring him closer to the weekend at the beginning or middle of the seven-day period.

There is no reason to believe that anything will change in this provision by the time the official version is approved.

Men's Day

The holiday has been celebrated for over 100 years. Initially, this was the date of the creation of the Red Army at the beginning of the Soviet period. For several decades, it was not a day off, although it was widely celebrated. In the Russian Federation, it became a day off almost two decades ago.

The production calendar in February 2022 in Russia indicates that this is a public holiday when citizens are presented with a day off. On Wednesday, February 23rd, according to established traditions, the following happens:

• all men accept congratulations and gifts from the fair sex;
• The Ministry of Defense confers new titles and presents well-deserved awards;

• flowers and wreaths are laid on memorials and monuments of military glory;
