- Now you have several premieres at the theater at once. One of them is in an interprize with Irina Kupchenko. Your hero is a blind musician. What was it like to get used to the image?

- My hero is not helpless. He lives a fulfilling life. I learned about a blind and very successful businessman from Klin. We met. We talked a lot. I tried to notice all the nuances of his behavior: gestures, facial expressions, special plasticity, and I used these observations in my work on the role.

- The premiere of the play "Romeo and Juliet" directed by Robert Sturua took place in early July on the stage of the Pushkin Drama Theater. You played Tybalt. Can you tell us about the show?

- In total, 15 actors are employed in the performance, and some of them play several roles. Pasternak's translation is taken as a basis. Our performance breaks the usual stereotypes. Romeo and Juliet is no longer a secular love play. It turned out to be a tough story.

My hero is not a villain, on the contrary, he is very human. But he lives with a pain in his soul. Tybalt is both an offended child and a wounded animal, the changes in his behavior are understandable and close to everyone. He is one of the wounded people - by fate, time, war. And he rages, explodes, provokes others! But he is not to blame, just as unhappy, broken people are not to blame at all. Thank God that many people have had a different fate, we are luckier, happier. But our opposites live next to us. It is impossible not to think about it, not to notice it.

- You star in TV shows, but you yourself watch them on TV?

- I know Western TV shows only by their names - "Sex and the City", "Friends". From domestic like - "Stop on demand", "Fifth corner", "Border". Almost all the series filmed for the Rossiya channel are of very high quality.

In general, I do not have time to watch TV. I try to stay informed and watch news on all channels. From humorous programs I like "OSP-Studio" and "Gorodok" very much. I have always preferred comedies. But I don’t like talk shows after I’ve been to the Big Laundry and What a Woman Wants. There, the most interesting things are always cut out. Since then, I refuse invitations to talk shows. Still not watching the violence-related documentary. Showdowns, accidents - how much is possible and what does this information give people?

- Aren't advertising annoying?

I treat a commercial as a tiny piece of art. But when I see a girl from a parallel course in the acting department in the role of a spaniel breeder, doctor or other "expert", I want to say to her: "What do you advise?"

- What do you call good deeds and what are bad?

- Good deeds are those that bring joy and benefit. We must forget about ourselves and our desires, whims, look around. It is very important to understand that we are insignificant in this world, but each of us has a particle of God and inner light. This means that we must love ourselves. Then God will take us to himself.

- You are a believer. How did you choose a church in an unfamiliar city?

- Everything happened by itself. The church was near my house, the father of this church became my spiritual mentor. With him, I check all my actions, I consult. It is not known how long God will give you to live. Therefore, every second one must try not to commit a sin, but only to love, to love, to love. We are led by a guardian angel, God is watching over us. Therefore, there should be no senseless actions.

- What's the last thing you do tonight?

- I read a prayer. Before going to bed in the evening and fall asleep. After that I have pleasant dreams. In the morning I wake up and read the morning prayer. Then the day goes well.

- Have the guidelines that you set for yourself now have changed in comparison with those that you set then?

- You know, I recently came across a text that I wrote as a child for a school newspaper. I say there that it is worth living from “thank you” to “thank you”. That is, "thank you" is not that common, banal word, but rather a wish, a blessing, or something … Dad told me for a long time that I should be grateful for everything that people do to me. And I also have to be able to apologize. And I was ashamed - I did not want to do this, resisted, then squeezed out "Sorry!" - and ran away. Such moments are easily remembered by children through television, cartoons.

For example, when someone talks about cartoons, I immediately remember the fairy tale about a bear cub to whom dad gave a bag and said: “Go through the forest, do good deeds. For every good deed, ask to put a pebble in your bag. When you fill the bag full, bring it to me. This bag is in my subconscious. It seems to me that I had one where I secretly put the stones. So the meaning of life is in simple truths. Don't commit sins, for example.

I dream of a town in which people would never shout at anyone, would always be glad to each other, would work together, eat, treat each other … so that the old and the sick would be helped … There it becomes clear what is happening and why, for the sake of who and what you live for.
