Home delivery of payments

Under quarantine conditions, Russian Post continues to operate normally, only the service rules have changed. The issuance of pensions and other state payments has not been suspended. But post office workers turn to recipients of funds with a request to observe the necessary security measures and maintain a distance.

In this regard, the number of citizens simultaneously in the post office is limited - no more than two people.

At the same time, the leadership of the state organization recommends that pensioners who are at risk for age criteria, observe the regime of self-isolation and, if possible, exclude visits to post offices. Pensioners who have changed their place of residence must call 8-800-1-000-000 (toll-free) and notify the post office. The same number can be used to obtain information regarding the functioning of post offices in quarantine conditions, as well as the timing of delivery of government payments.

Financial assistance addressed to a pensioner can also be received by his legal representative, if there is an appropriate document confirming his authority (power of attorney issued in accordance with the current legislation).

Early payment of pensions

The Pension Fund calls on elderly citizens to remain calm and assures that state payments are made not just on time, but even earlier. The management of the Russian Post explains how you can get a pension during quarantine: "For this purpose, the work of postmen-couriers was organized, who, in addition to money, also deliver letters and parcels to their homes."

The money for early payments was transferred to post offices and banks on March 26. The issuance of funds was carried out by banking organizations from April 1 to 12, the delivery of pensions by "Russian Post" was organized in the period from 9 to 12.

In addition, it is planned to pay ahead of schedule the sums timed to the 75th anniversary of the Victory to war veterans and home front workers: 75 thousand rubles each and 50 thousand rubles, respectively.

The shift in the delivery time of public funds in each region is different - this period is determined by the previously valid payment schedule. The authorities have now begun discussing the procedure for May.

Will there be early payments in May

Payment of May pensions is subject to annual adjustments due to public holidays. In 2020, the situation is aggravated by a pandemic and, accordingly, during quarantine, the schedule will be necessarily adjusted.

How and when exactly pensioners will be able to receive state payments has not yet been reported, one can only predict changes. Since May 1-5 and May 9-11 will be days off, the schedule for receiving a pension may presumably be as follows:

• those who receive government benefits in the mail at the beginning of the month should expect payments at the end of April;
• pensioners to whom funds must be paid in the period from May 9 to May 11, they will receive them on the 6-7th;
• everyone else will receive a pension on a permanent schedule or early, as happened in April.

According to the Defense Ministry, military pensioners will be provided with payments for May this month (until the 20th).
