Tired of traditional aphrodisiacs like oysters and champagne? Try the Italian recipe with salami and spicy cheese.

A quarter of Italian women said salami is their favorite aphrodisiac, and 21% chose cheese. Other culinary delights that whet the Italians' libido include saffron-flavored risotto à la milanese and steamed vegetables, which were favored by 12% of respondents. Oysters, traditionally considered an aphrodisiac but quite rare in Italy, did not feature at all in a poll published by Telecom Italia.

What do hot Hollywood guys prefer? During the Cannes premiere of Ocean's 13, when an elderly Australian journalist asked what his favorite aphrodisiac was, Matt Damon pointed to the black actor Don Chiddle sitting next to him (he plays the "bomber"). Here is such legibility.

"Food and sex are a magical alchemical mixture of elements," says Italian sexologist Serenella Salomoni. "But when it comes to food, it's important to drown out all other senses." She advised women to concentrate on how they bring food to their mouth and chew it "carefully" to create an intimate atmosphere.

Alessandro di Gregorio, director of the Reproduction Assistance Center, states: "The benefits of the Mediterranean diet for libido are clear." He links the consumption of nduya (an extremely spicy Calabrian salami) with an increase in blood pressure. “Chile promotes the release of peptides in the intestines that act like natural Viagra,” he said.

However, do not expect much from the above recommendations. Despite the bold claims of Italian scientists, from a medical point of view, aphrodisiacs (named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love), stimulating sex drive, have little value.
