The final of the Miss Cinema of Russia contest was held at the Pushkinsky Cinema and Concert Hall on May 27. At a press conference preceding the final with the participation of the organizers and members of the Miss Cinema jury, the assembled journalists were told that at the preliminary stages of the competition, the most beautiful, charming, talented and, most importantly, artistic girls from four Russian cities - Rostov-on-Don, were selected. Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Moscow.

The age of the nominees is from 18 to 25 years, but there were exceptions: the youngest participant of the competition was 16. “We tried to be objective, - said one of the judges of the competition, director Sergei Soloviev. - But I cannot but admit that no competition can to be objective in principle. This is impossible with all the desire - we are still biased. We took into account, first of all, the ability to communicate with the camera, the ability to make the listener pay attention to ourselves. I hope that those who come to the finals will be interested, and they our finalists will love it. And his colleague Alexander Strizhenov added that the participants differ from each other only by registration, but otherwise he did not notice the differences between, for example, Moscow participants and aspiring actresses from Rostov-on-Don. “In every city we found the diamond that we needed,” the actor, TV presenter and director emphasized.

20 finalists competed for the crown of the winner. Many VIPs wished to witness the exciting show, including Alfa-Bank vice-president Alexander Gafin, actor Dmitry Nagiyev, numerous photo models, etc. The show was hosted by Igor Vernik. Before inviting the finalists to the stage, he introduced the jury members - Alexander Abdulov, Sergey Solovyov, Alexander Strizhenov, Andrey Panin and others.

The first appearance of the contestants was accompanied by the demonstration of video clips - "business cards" of each of the girls, which demonstrated the acting talent and appearance of each finalist. Applicants for the title of "Miss Cinema" had to go through several contests. "Photoshoot" on an impromptu "ocean beach" forced the subjects to put on swimsuits, in which they happily posed for photographers. At the "screen tests" the contestants with the help of expressive means had to show their talent to the accompaniment of the song "Help Me" from the movie "The Diamond Arm" and to "Be Loved By You" by Marilyn Monroe. After this test, out of twenty finalists, only eight were selected. They were asked to read excerpts from Korney Chukovsky's fairy tale "Fedorino's grief". As part of the last competition, the "actresses" were "awarded" "Oscars". During this test, the "laureates", dressed in black dresses, demonstrated enviable self-confidence, after which all members of the jury retired to discuss what they saw and summarize the results of the competition. However, they did not meet for long, and upon their return the floor was taken by the chairman of the jury, Alexander Abdulov. “I bow before you, watching how you find the strength to go out into the hall and do something else,” the chairman of the jury addressed the contestants, trembling with excitement. “But remember: the competition is just a lottery, we tried very hard to be objective, but perhaps we did not succeed."

Daria Krivilina from Rostov-on-Don became the winner of the competition and the owner of the title "Miss Cinema Russia". As a prize, the girl received a Peugeot 206 convertible, provided by the Armand company, as well as a cash prize of $ 14,000 from the Russian Coal company. The first runner-up to receive the title "Miss Artistry" was Alisa Makievskaya from Moscow, who received a $ 5,000 award. The second vice-miss - "Miss Charm" Evgenia Bushueva from Moscow, received $ 4,000, and Ekaterina Kovaleva from St. Petersburg, who became the third vice-miss ("Miss Charm"), received $ 3,000. Olga Ryzhkova from St. Petersburg got a role in the film "Male Season, Velvet Revolution". The same finalist, as well as Ekaterina Kovaleva (St. Petersburg), Svetlana Romaeva (Nizhny Novgorod), Maria Derbeneva (Nizhny Novgorod), Polina Askeri (Moscow) and Daria Krivilina (Rostov-on-Don), were invited to participate in casting to provide roles in films.
