The initiator of the collective request at Change. Org noted that Minogue is the most worthy candidate to represent Australia in the international music arena. “This is the first and last time an Australian or Australian woman can enter the Eurovision stage and compete with others. Kylie is a symbol of Australia, the best pop singer in the world, and we love her! - said in the explanation to the petition.

Official comments from the celebrity herself have not yet been received. But surrounded by a star, this idea is called "funny", and one of the insiders said that she did not take it seriously. "Kylie said that on this day she is busy - washes her hair," - quotes the Daily Mail of a close friend of the performer.

We will remind, Kylie's singing career lasts more than a quarter of a century, on account of her 12 studio albums. Minogue's last major work was Kiss Me Once, presented in March last year. The artist also took part in more than 20 television and film projects, including the popular TV series Doctor Who.

It is worth noting that Australian artists will participate in Eurovision only once. The European Broadcasting Union, which is the organizer of the event, decided to invite a new participant on the occasion of the anniversary of the event - this year it will be held for the 60th time. This time the competition will be held in Vienna from 19 to 23 May 2015.
