As the actor Alexei Panin told reporters, work begins on the filming of the continuation of the film "Zhmurki", popular at the beginning of the 2000s. Moreover, in the new project there will be a place for the stars of the cult film "Brother-2".
According to Panin, the issue of filming the film "Zhmurki-2" was actively discussed during the lifetime of the creator of the film, director Alexei Balabanov. However, the filmmaker was not interested in a sequel. Now several businessmen have expressed a desire to invest in the shooting of the picture, and Panin, together with his colleagues, decided to create a tape somewhat similar to Zhmurki.
“An ingenious idea was born to make a film with the tentative title Back to the 90s. And to gather there all the heroes of cult films about this time. An example of such a combined hodgepodge is in the movie "The Expendables", when Sylvester Stallone gathered all the action heroes. Here we decided to collect heroes from Russian cult films about bandits - "Zhmurki", "Boomer", "Brigada", "Brother-2". But still "Zhmurki" will be a kind of reference point. Alas, in "Zhmurki" all the heroes were shot, they cannot be revived. Therefore, our bandits will have other names, but the images will be recognizable,”the artist told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
Panin has already agreed to shoot. He added that negotiations are underway with Dmitry Dyuzhev. Irina Saltykova will appear as the heroine of the film "Brother-2". A role is being prepared for Viktor Sukhorukov. Lyubov Tolkalina will be filmed with Evelina Bledans, Vladimir Gostyukhin, Vika Tarasova, Volodya Epifantsev, Alexander Bashirov, Vladimir Steklov.
