The woman was the victim of gross negligence and illiteracy. During the operation, the surgeon cut two separate pockets holding the breast tissue. The Board of Plastic Surgeons decided to use the woman's story to educate the public about the dangers of working with unskilled surgeons. “Having a white coat doesn’t guarantee quality plastic surgery,” warn ABPS representatives.
