Sigourney Weaver to star in Avatar sequel

Director James Cameron is gearing up for the sequel to his most impressive film yet. Filming for "Avatar - 2" is scheduled to begin in the middle of next year. It is already known that the actress Sigourney Weaver will again take part in the film. The star herself told reporters the other day.

According to the plot of the original film, Weaver's character Dr. Grace Augustine died. However, even last year, the actress herself, speaking in Paris at the Cesar awards ceremony, said that Cameron could get around this problem.

“I'm in a tree,” Weaver said, referring to her character and the biosphere of the planet Pandora shown in Avatar. The actress added that Cameron wants to "keep the family together." But what exactly was invented and what role the artist will play after death is still anyone's guess.

Sigourney also said that Cameron has already shared with her the concept of the next two parts of the saga, and the concept is "absolutely wonderful."

It is known that the director is going to shoot the second and third "Avatars" at 48 or even 60 frames per second. The cinematographer himself recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he is leaning towards the latter as it will bring more credibility.

Previously, it was assumed that the sequel to "Avatar" will be released in December 2014, and the third part will appear in December 2015.

Both paintings will have separate plots, but also greater coverage. “We are not going to give up the visual and emotional energy that characterized the first Avatar, and we will continue to explore related themes and characters that have so deeply touched the hearts of viewers from different countries and cultures.
