The famous gymnast and former State Duma deputy Alina Kabaeva is almost always in the center of media attention. They regularly write about her in gloss, they devote songs to her, and now they will shoot a film. Reportedly, director Artem Aksenenko begins filming the sequel to the film "Champions: Four Elements", and one of the short stories will be devoted to the sports career of Kabaeva.
The first part of the film "Champions: Four Elements" was presented two weeks before the Olympic Games in Sochi. The film tells the stories of Olympic champions Svetlana Zhurova, Anton Sikharulidze and Elena Berezhnaya, as well as Olympic medalists Ekaterina Ilyukhina, Nikolai Kruglov and Ilya Kovalchuk.
Now the heroes of the project will be renowned athletes - wrestler Alexander Karelin, swimmer Alexander Popov and gymnasts Svetlana Khorkina and Alina Kabaeva.
“After the success of the first film and the Sochi Olympics, it was decided to develop the theme. This is how the idea of a new film project called "Champions: Four Elements" appeared. It includes four short stories, one of them about Alexander Karelin,”said producer Daniil Makhort.
We will remind, in September last year, Kabaeva wrote a statement on her resignation as a State Duma deputy. Then it became known that Alina Maratovna, who headed the Public Council of the National Media Group holding for six years, accepted the offer to take the post of chairman of the board of directors.
It is already known that the role of Karelin will be performed by the son of Fyodor Bondarchuk Sergei. Evgeny Pronin will play Alexander Popov, and the casting for the roles of Alina Kabaeva and Svetlana Khorkina is not over yet - the creators are trying to find actresses who are as similar as possible to the legendary gymnasts.
The film "Champions-2" is planned to be released in December 2015 - on the eve of the final stage of the preparation of the Russian national team for the 2016 Olympics.
