Last week, Brezhnev actively promoted the campaign “Concerns even those who do not concern”, and now she took part in the TV show of Andrei Malakhov. According to Vera, during her time as UN ambassador, she learned a lot about the dangerous virus.

“I am a socially active person, I am not indifferent,” said the star. - Several years ago, the UN asked me if I could support their program. I knew practically nothing about HIV, I just agreed. Then the next year we did it again. A year later - again. For exactly one year I have been an ambassador. During this time, I read a lot, learned, and now I know a lot, I understand that I should have taken a step in this direction. The most important thing we want to do is to change the attitude towards the HIV problem in the society”.

During her tenure as UN Ambassador, Vera spoke with many women diagnosed with HIV. “It's not even the disease that struck them that is more terrible, but alienation,” Brezhneva said. - When they, being normal people, feel like outcasts. Alas, it is not in my power to cure them. But it is important when you can just be there, talk, support, smile, take a hand, hug”.

“We want to explain that there are no taboos, that this is not the plague, as it was previously believed, this is not oncology, this is not a genetic disease,” the artist emphasized. - If a person is diagnosed with HIV, he receives therapy and leads a healthy lifestyle, then he gets an absolutely fulfilling life! And in order to find out the status, you need to go and test."
