Famed director Woody Allen doesn't like to talk about his plans for the future. And conversations about what film he is working on at the moment, as a rule, are classified as "incorrect." However, now Woody has an unusual film ahead of him, and therefore the director is happy to talk about some of the details. It's no joke, it's not every day that one of the most stylish first ladies of the planet can be lured to the set.
On Friday, director Woody Allen announced that his next film, Midnight in Paris, will be filmed in Paris. Presumably they will start in the summer. At the moment, it is known that Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Katie Bates and the wife of French President Carla Bruni will play in the film.
Allen's previous film, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, is out this fall and will premiere in May at the Cannes Film Festival.
The director personally told about what the film will be about. It will be a romantic comedy about a family moving to the French capital for business. Part of the family is a young couple who harbor the illusion that someone else's life is better than their own anyway.
We will remind, a couple of weeks ago, Allen said that the wife of the French president is not the woman who earns her living as an acting profession. According to the famous director, Karla has many things to do and commitments that can interfere with the filming process.
Journalists suggested that Oscar-winning Frenchwoman Marion Cotillard will take the place of Bruni in the new film. However, Madame Bruni-Sarkozy insisted that she would be able to find time for filming. The 42-year-old first lady - in the past one of the world's most famous fashion models - already has, albeit little, experience in filming in films.

Woody Allen is not averse to starring in a new film by Nicolas Sarkozy
This year's Cannes Film Festival will open with a new Woody Allen film starring Carla Bruni. And it is possible that next year we will be able to watch Allen's film, but with the participation of Nicolas Sarkozy. At least the director himself is ready for such an interesting collaboration and even roughly imagines the role of the French president.
Woody Allen began filming a picture with Carla Bruni
The shooting of Woody Allen's film with the participation of the first lady of France started the other day in Paris. The new painting was named Midnight in Paris. The style of the tape is a romantic comedy. It tells the story of a family that comes to France in the 1920s, director's artistic agent Shelby Kimlik said.
Woody Allen refused to shoot Carla Bruni
Director Woody Allen is not often predictable. And now, to the disappointment of Carla Bruni's fans, the filmmaker has abandoned plans to shoot the first lady of France in his new film. According to Allen, Ms Bruni is too busy, which could jeopardize the normal course of the filming process.
Carla Bruni to star in Woody Allen's film
Legendary director Woody Allen is far from consistent. More recently, he called Scarlett Johansson and Frida Pinto his muses. And now the filmmaker has his eye on the first lady of France. Earlier this year, Allen invited Carla Bruni to star in his new film.
