Renowned director Sofia Coppola has prepared a worthy, truly feminine response to the acclaimed film Brokeback Mountain. Based on a Sarah Waters novel and a whirlwind romance between us girls, her new film, Tipping the Velvet, will feature contemporary sex symbols: singer and actress Beyonce Knowles and star of the television series Desperate Housewives Eva Longoria.

Set in the late 19th century, the plot revolves around the uneasy relationship between music hall prima Kitty Butler and her mistress Nan Astley.

"It's true, we have already agreed with Beyoncé about filming Sophia's film. It's such an exciting romance. A beautiful love story," commented on her participation in the Longoria project (by the way, Eva recently broke up with her boyfriend, basketball player Tony Parker, and a new project, and even of such an original kind, just what the actress now needs). Beyonce, however, believes that if the audience "with a bang" took the story of the homosexual love of two cowboys, told in Brokeback Mountain, then the novel about the classic love of two lesbians is all the more worthy of adaptation.

According to rumors from the entourage of actresses, Beyonce and Longoria are delighted with the upcoming prospect of performing love scenes and cannot wait for the start of the project. According to the girls, it is much more fun to act in sex scenes with a woman than with representatives of the stronger sex.

Recall that the last work of Coppola, presented at the Cannes Film Festival and received not very good reviews from critics, is the film "Marie Antoinette", in which the main role was played by Kirsten Dunst.
