Which deceased celebrities should be resurrected first? This question was asked by Warner Home Video and asked the opinion of 2,000 Britons. The first place in the list of famous people whom the inhabitants of foggy Albion would like to see alive again was taken by the legendary singer Elvis Presley.

This is not the first survey that is distinguished by its originality, the Internet publication Ytro.ru notes. For example, a few years earlier, the British were interested in which of the characters of Madame Tussaud's wax museum they would call the most beloved and unloved. In the first category, the top three were as follows: Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams and a young singer, the idol of British schoolgirls Garrett Gates. In the second, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden and John Leslie, a TV presenter accused of several rapes, became leaders.

The survey was conducted at the time of the release on DVD of the series Pushing Daisies, in the center of the plot of which is a young man named Ned, who has the power to raise the dead. 23 percent of those polled voted for the resurrection of the king of rock and roll.

After him on the list was Princess Diana, who received 20 percent of the respondents' votes, while Marilyn Monroe took third place and 17 percent of the votes. In addition, the top ten included King Henry VIII, footballer Bobby Moore, William Shakespeare, Freddie Mercury, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill and Kurt Cobain.

Survey participants were also asked to guess what resurrected celebrities might be doing today. According to most respondents, Elvis would most likely be on the jury for American Idol, Shakespeare would write lyrics for singer Amy Winehouse, and Henry VIII is credited with developing the perfect diet.
