On July 4 and 5, on the stage of the Moscow theater named after A. S. Pushkin will host the premiere of the play "Romeo and Juliet".

The authors and creators of the project are deeply convinced that we all live in a happy time - at the very beginning of a new century, when the worldview is changing in everything: from politics to art. This is the time for new heroes. The last two years have brought to the fore a young charismatic actor's top ten, able to excite the minds and hearts. They have become a whole generation that already has a huge audience. And what our future will be depends on the human theme that they choose as the main one for themselves. And they choose LOVE.

The unsurpassed love poet in the theatrical world is still the great bard William Shakespeare. And his "Romeo and Juliet" for all time remained the most poignant and passionate story about love and friendship, loyalty and betrayal. Choosing "Romeo and Juliet" for staging in Moscow - the heart of theatrical Russia - the young generation of producers and actors sees the history of two influential business empires, whose heirs, representatives of "golden youth" with a planned future, having fallen in love with each other, break the course of events with their sizzling feeling and involve in this passionate whirlpool everyone who is around. In the crucible of this obsessed love, all the characters of the tragedy perish, break down and are reborn, because in her face everything is powerless - hatred, kinship, religion, money and power.

The acting ensemble "Romeo and Juliet" is the best that is today in the world of Russian young theater and cinema: Daniil Strakhov (Paris), Grigory Siyatvinda (Lorenzo), Dmitry Dyuzhev (Tybalt), Agrippina Steklova (Nurse), Natalya Shvets (Juliet), Yuri Kolokolnikov (Romeo). They declared themselves powerfully and at the same time, someone after the first theatrical role, someone after the first appearance on the screen.

It seems to be a great success of the project that the director with a world name, brilliant thinking, great experience and wisdom - People's Artist of the USSR and Georgia, Robert Sturua, from whose directorial pen came out the best interpretations of Shakespeare - will be the director of this young acting team. He also agreed to participate in the creation of the play People's Artist of the USSR, composer Giya Kancheli. It is the synthesis of youth and immense experience and talent that, in our opinion, should strike a spark of genuine art that can change the world.
