It looks like computers will take over humanity much earlier than we thought. The number of people for whom communication with an electronic computer replaces communication with a living person is growing rapidly.

Three years ago, experts from Stanford University identified people who complained that their family or partnerships had seriously deteriorated because of the computer and the Internet connected to it. But then they did not attach much importance to this - the number of such "computer addicts" was small, only 6%. But as the latest sociological studies have found out, over the past three years, this number has grown almost 10 times!

As the correspondent of "New Region" reports, experts from an American research firm conducted a public opinion poll and found that 65% of the American adults surveyed spend more time sitting at the computer than with loved ones - spouses or work partners.

And 85% of the respondents themselves admit that they have already acquired dependence on their computers. In addition, many users began to have personal feelings for their computer, as for another person.

So, people began to experience such feelings about the computer as anger, sadness and even mental cooling, if it works poorly or malfunctions. And 52% of surveyed users began to perceive machine malfunctions as their own failures.

19% admitted that they sometimes feel like hitting a computer in order to “punish” it if it does not work well.

Moreover, when a loved one “behaves badly”, both men and women try to find sympathy and understanding in the circle of their loved ones, pouring out their souls. The survey found that 74% of Americans do the same when they don't have a proper "relationship" with a computer.
