The amount of the burial allowance in 2022 is determined not only by the changes that occurred in 2021. It depends on the social status and the category to which the deceased belongs.

Registration procedure and size

The burial allowance refers to federal social payments, the indexation of which took place at the beginning of the second month of the past year. Now payments are made through the Social Insurance Fund: all sizes of federal social benefits are increasing, thanks to the indexation, which took place from 1.02. 2020.

The amount of the burial allowance in 2022 corresponds to the cash allowance, which increased in 2021 by the inflation rate determined by Rosstat. The previous value increased by 4, 9%, since social payments for funerals, according to the current legislation, are included in the list of state ones. They are held at the federal level and are subject to indexing in accordance with the increase in the price index.

EB is issued only to a citizen who has assumed all the financial burdens of a sad and rather costly ceremony.

The amount of the burial allowance in 2022 in the federal value is 6,424 rubles. There are other numbers, depending on the social status and the population category to which the deceased belonged. These can be increased payments or city surcharges. The value of the latter may differ depending on whether the deceased was a pensioner, employed or a minor.

There are other factors that affect the amount: a stillborn child, a participant in a man-made disaster, a WWII veteran or a disabled person. All of this may have an impact on determining the exact amount of the burial allowance in 2022.

There are absolutely legal grounds for refusing to charge federal social benefits. For example, the use of the gratuitous burial service or the late appeal for the funds owed (it must take place no later than six months after the funeral).

  3. Increased payments and surcharges from city authorities are entitled only to certain categories of the population. Pensioners who quit their jobs are also entitled to 18,400 rubles. In Moscow and the Moscow region, social benefits are assigned to the GU PFR No. 4, and additional payments to it - where the citizen received social assistance.
  4. The money for the burial of the child is paid where the parent with whom he lived works, and this is the same 6424.98 rubles.

Ritual services for the military are paid according to actual costs, but the amount has a limit of 28 thousand rubles. But you need to find out about this in the territorial departments of military commissariats, and not in the Social Insurance Fund and not in the State Administration of the Pension Fund.

In each case, when the social status of the deceased provides for an increase in pension payments, a list of documents confirming the status is required. They will be requested both at the military commissariat and upon receipt of the city surcharge.

You can receive compensation for the burial of a veteran or disabled veteran of the Great Patriotic War in the amount of 40, 5 thousand rubles, but for this you need to provide:

Other nuances

Changes in inflation took place in February 2021, which ultimately increased the amount of social benefits by 300 rubles. The inflation rate is 4, 9%, determined according to Rosstat data. In 2022, such payments will be increased again based on official statistics.

Receiving compensation may not only be the prerogative of relatives. Any person who has assumed financial burdens and monetary expenses has the right to it.

Back in May 2019, FSS employees said that it was not necessary to provide certificates of expenses, as well as to prove the degree of relationship.

Outcomes

The amount of the burial allowance increased after the indexation:

  1. There are different types of assistance, they depend on the status of the deceased.
  2. The list of documents differs significantly only in the case of the funeral of a soldier or a veteran of the Second World War.
  3. The allowance at the expense of the FSS can be increased by a city surcharge.
  4. The presence of a regional coefficient means that social benefits are multiplied by it.
