This week distributors present to us films that European viewers have appreciated for a long time. But the pictures are worthwhile - that is why some "laziness" did not spoil them in the least.

For example, the British film "Tristram Shandy: The Story of a Cock and a Bull" was filmed back in 2005 by director Michael Winterbottom based on the novel "The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy", written in the 18th century by Lawrence Stern. Previously, this kind of work in the style of "stream of consciousness" was considered not amenable to film adaptation. But modern filmmakers have learned to solve the most difficult creative problems using postmodern methods. In general, it turned out very well. Tristam Shandy talks about how he sees his life: he plunges into childhood memories, and his relatives interrupt him - add savory facts to his biography. And so, when the narration comes to the fact of the birth of Tristam, the end of the shooting day is announced. And all the characters become actors on the site, where a completely different life flows. And the wife and the child come to the hero, and the journalist sniffs out the scandal, pesters the producers and the agent. With all this, the film is a great comedy with real English humor. Filmed by Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, Keely Hawes, Shirley Henderson.

Another British film - "Miss Potter" by Chris Noonan - about the difficult life of children's writer Beatrix Potter, whose books are very popular in English-speaking countries. The role of Beatrix is played by Hollywood star Renee Zellweger, who was also the executive producer of the film. The heroine languishes from the harsh Victorian morals, falls in love, receives a marriage proposal, followed by a secret engagement … Beatrix is played by Evan McGregor, also stars Emily Watson, Barbara Flynn, Jane Howe, Anton Lesser, Lloyd Owen, Bill Patterson.

"Sexual Scenes" is a painting by Edd Bloom. The title of the film speaks for itself - some dream, others experiment, others consider sex an excess … The roles are the same Evan McGregor, Holly Aird, Eileen Atkins, Hugh Bonneville, Sophie Okonedo, Tom Hardy, Douglas Hodge, Adrienne Lester. The palette of feelings and relationships is bright - it is better to watch a movie together.

And, finally, for those who like to be scared - the thriller "The Hitcher" by Dave Meyers. This is a remake of the famous 1986 thriller of the same name about how, at the crossroads of California roads, a young couple puts a lonely hitchhiker into the car, who turns out to be a ruthless maniac … Starring: Sean Bean, Sophia Bush, Zachary Knighton, Neil McDonough. Not everyone will want to watch such a movie in a raging spring, but I'm sure true connoisseurs of the genre do not care about the season.
