On May 9, 1945, the crew of A. I. Semenkov landed at the Frunze Central Airfield on a Li-2 plane, which delivered to Moscow an act confirming the surrender of Nazi Germany. On June 24, 1945, a parade was held in Moscow for the first time on Red Square.
